Somehow I dodged World of Warcraft entirely. Never touched it. I played Age of Conan to death. I always considered WoW to be kiddie in it's presentation. It was 'cartoon-y' whilst AoC was more grounded in realism (as real as you can get with necromancers, dragons and frost giants). Age of Conan appealed to me in ways that World of Warcraft never could.
But WoW is still the daddy of MMOs, right? So I have to ask, is it worth playing now, in 2025, not 2005 when it launched and was trailblazing its way to success. What's changed? Is it a bloated mess after content release on top of content release, or is the core gameplay still pure?
Have you played WoW? Do you still play WoW? Worth it?
