World building in RPG games is very important. You need a living, breathing world to exist for a game to be fun. You also need a dangerous, enemy filled, treacherous world for a game to be interesting. No-one wants an easy life when playing an RPG, right? And developers have seen fit to give us what we want.
Worlds filled with danger, and inevitable death.
So if you could choose a world in which to live from a role playing game, which would it be? And no cheating (the majority of the Imperium of Man in Rogue Trader probably lead lives of boredom on so-called civilised worlds), it has to be a part of the setting where adventures happen.
So which would you pick? And be honest. The warp storms of Rogue Trader? The wastelands of Fallout? Dragon dodging in Skyrim? Or something more futuristic like Mass Effect? Where are you setting up base?
