I played both a lot. I had about 8+ years of hard core play in WOW and about 2 years in AOC. I loved AOC a lot but it was just so buggy, and took forever for them to make more end game content. I even had a huge fan website for boss killing strategies called AOCBOSSKILLERS That AOC linked too...

I feel as I get older, I tend to let them go. I guess it really just depends on the game. But my attention span is not what it once was lol.
